Backend development of a European search engine for furniture and home furnishings.

Since 2025 I have been working as a backend developer at Favi, a European online search engine for furniture and home furnishings that connects millions of products from thousands of e-shops across European markets.
I work on a large modular monolith built with PHP and Symfony. My work includes asynchronous data processing with RabbitMQ, indexing and search on top of Elasticsearch, and development of both internal and public parts of the platform. We put strong emphasis on code quality: unit tests, static analysis (PHPStan) with custom rules, code reviews, and a GitLab CI/CD pipeline.
Used technologies:- Backend: PHP, Symfony, Doctrine
- Messaging & Search: RabbitMQ, Elasticsearch
- DB: MariaDB
- QA & CI: PHPUnit/Codeception, PHPStan, GitLab CI/CD, Docker
